Coaxial Connectors – The Ultimate FAQ Guide
Consider the required impedance, operating frequency, coaxial cable type, connector size, installation space, plug or receptacle configuration, and operating environment. Providing your equipment interface and cable specifications will help INTE-AUTO recommend a suitable connector.
The connector impedance should match the impedance of your coaxial cable and equipment. 50Ω connectors are commonly used for RF, test, measurement, and communication applications, while 75Ω connectors are commonly used for video and other signal transmission systems.
The supported frequency range depends on the connector series, impedance, cable, and complete assembly design. Please provide your required operating frequency and cable specifications so that the appropriate connector can be confirmed.
INTE-AUTO offers miniature 00S Series as well as 0S, 1S, 1E (IP68) and 2S coaxial connectors. Selection depends on installation space, cable size, equipment interface, and application requirements. The 00S Series is particularly suitable where a miniature connector is required.
The connector must be compatible with the cable impedance, outer diameter, and construction. Please provide the coaxial cable model or specifications, including impedance and cable OD, so that the correct connector and cable collet can be selected.
Depending on the series, INTE-AUTO offers straight plugs, right-angle plugs, cable-mounted receptacles, and panel-mounted receptacles to accommodate different equipment layouts, installation spaces, and cable routing requirements.
The connector locks automatically when the plug is fully inserted into the mating receptacle. To disconnect, simply pull the outer release sleeve to disengage the locking mechanism, allowing quick mating and unmating without threaded coupling.
Yes. INTE-AUTO offers waterproof coaxial connector options for applications requiring both coaxial signal transmission and environmental protection. Waterproof performance depends on the specific connector model, mating condition, and assembly method.
Yes. INTE-AUTO provides custom coaxial cable assemblies based on connector type, impedance, coaxial cable specification, cable length, connector orientation, equipment interface, and other application requirements.
