M7 Miniature Push-Pull Connectors

INTE-AUTO provides M7 miniature push-pull connectors in two main configurations: 00B Series multipole connectors and 00S Series coaxial connectors. Their compact size makes them suitable for equipment where installation space is limited while reliable and frequent connection and disconnection are required.

Both series feature a push-pull self-latching mechanism, pearl chrome or black chrome plated brass shells, 360° shielding, IP50 protection, and a mating endurance of 5,000 cycles. The 00B Series uses a PPS insulator and provides 2, 3, 4, and 5-contact configurations, while the 00S Series uses a PTFE insulator and provides a 50 Ω coaxial connection.

INTE-AUTO 00B and 00S Series connectors are interchangeable replacements for the corresponding original 00B and 00S Series connectors when the model and configuration are correctly matched.

Miniature Connectors Features

1. M7 Miniature Design

Compact M7 connector dimensions help reduce interface space, making the 00B and 00S Series suitable for portable and space-limited electronic equipment.

2. Push-Pull Self-Latching

The push-pull self-latching mechanism enables quick mating and unmating while providing a secure connection during use.

3. Durable Metal Construction

Pearl chrome or black chrome plated brass shells provide mechanical durability, while the connectors are designed for up to 5,000 mating cycles and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +150°C.

4. 360° Shielding

The metal shell structure provides 360° shielding for applications where reliable signal connections and shielding performance are required.

Miniature Connectors- The Ultimate FAQ Guide

Selecting a miniature connector requires consideration of connector size, signal type, contact configuration, cable dimensions, termination method, shielding, and mating requirements. The following FAQs cover the key considerations when selecting INTE-AUTO 00B multipole and 00S coaxial miniature connectors.
1. What Is the Difference Between 00B and 00S Miniature Connectors?

The 00B Series is a multipole miniature connector, available with 2, 3, 4, or 5 contacts for multiple electrical and signal connections.

The 00S Series is a miniature coaxial connector designed for a single 50 Ω coaxial connection.

Choose 00B when multiple conductors need to be connected through a compact interface. Choose 00S when your equipment requires a miniature 50 Ω coaxial connection.

2. Can INTE-AUTO 00B and 00S Connectors Mate with the Original Connectors?

Yes. INTE-AUTO 00B and 00S Series connectors are designed to mate with and replace the corresponding original 00B and 00S connectors when the model and configuration are correctly matched.

For replacement projects, we recommend providing the complete original part number or mating connector information so that INTE-AUTO can confirm the corresponding model before ordering.

3. How Do I Find the Correct Replacement for My Existing 00B or 00S Connector?

Send us the original part number, connector photos, drawing, or mating connector information. For 00B, also confirm the contact count, male or female contacts, connector style, and cable requirements. For 00S, provide the connector style, coaxial cable type, and cable outer diameter.

INTE-AUTO can use this information to identify the corresponding replacement and confirm the mating configuration.

4. What Contact Configurations Are Available for 00B Miniature Connectors?

The 00B Series is available with 2, 3, 4, and 5 contacts, with both male and female contact configurations available.

Electrical ratings vary according to the contact configuration. Current, voltage, wire gauge, and cable requirements should therefore be checked for the specific 00B model rather than assumed to be identical across all contact arrangements.

5. What Termination and Mounting Options Are Available for 00B?

00B plugs are available with solder contacts, while receptacles are available with solder or PCB contacts, depending on the model.

Straight, elbow, panel-mount, and cable-mount configurations are available, allowing the connector to be selected according to equipment layout, PCB design, cable routing, and installation requirements.

6. What Cable Diameter Should I Specify When Ordering a 00S Connector?

00S Series connectors are available for coaxial cables with outer diameters from 1.7 to 5.0 mm, depending on the connector configuration.

Always provide the actual cable type and outer diameter when ordering. This allows the appropriate connector and cable collet to be selected for secure cable installation.

7. Is the 00S Series Suitable for My Coaxial Cable and Signal?

The 00S Series is designed for 50 Ω coaxial connections. When selecting a 00S connector, the cable impedance, cable type, outer diameter, signal requirements, and frequency range should be considered together.

The 00S Series supports cable outer diameters from 1.7 to 5.0 mm. Providing the coaxial cable specification helps ensure that the correct connector configuration is selected.

8. Are 00B and 00S Miniature Connectors Waterproof?

No. The 00B and 00S Series are rated IP50 and are not designed as waterproof connectors.

They are suitable for applications where compact size, reliable push-pull mating, shielding, and frequent connection and disconnection are important. For equipment exposed to water or requiring a higher IP rating, a dedicated waterproof connector series should be selected.

9. Can I Use a Right-Angle Connector When Installation Space Is Limited?

Yes. Right-angle configurations are available for applications where rear installation space or cable routing space is limited.

The 00B Series offers straight and elbow configurations, while the 00S Series includes straight plugs, elbow plugs, fixed receptacles, and elbow receptacles. The appropriate style should be selected according to panel layout, cable direction, mating clearance, and available installation space.

10. What Information Should I Provide for a Miniature Connector or Cable Assembly Quote?

To help us identify the correct 00B or 00S connector and prepare an accurate quotation, please provide:

  • Existing or original connector part number
  • 00B or 00S Series
  • Plug or receptacle
  • Straight or elbow configuration
  • Contact count and male/female contacts for 00B
  • Cable type and outer diameter
  • Cable length
  • Pin assignment or wiring requirements
  • Mating connector information
  • Drawing or connector photos
  • Required quantity

If you only have the original connector part number or photos, send them to INTE-AUTO. Our engineers can help identify the corresponding miniature connector and determine the information still required for selection or cable assembly.
