B series push pull metal connector assembles process:
1. Make the cable through bend relief, collet nut, and collet one by one, solder the wires to the insulator contacts’ cup.
2. Put the split insert carrier on the insulator after finished soldering.
3. Put the collet in the right position of the cable, make sure the collet mate with the split insert carrier.
4. Make the insulator, split insert carrier, cable collet into the out shell in order.
5. Screw the collet nut into the outer shell.
6. Fix the sleeve on the collet nut.

For using a Push pull connector, you must attach the wire with the male plug’s insulator and connect it with the panel-mounted female connector/receptacle.
For doing this, first, you must pass the cable from bend relief, collet nut, and collet. The cable should be soldered with the insulator’s contacts; after that, you should fit the insulator and the split insert carrier into the outer shell of the Push pull connector.
You should mount the receptacle on the device panel through PCB contacts or by soldering that depending on your device design. You can also utilize crimp connections as a customized solution.
At this stage, the plug should be gently pushed into the receptacle that locks the connection with the help of a self-latching system designed into it. The inner sleeve latches of the plug retract when you push the plug into the receptacle and move smoothly inside the locking/mating receptacle until it reaches a groove that has a matching profile as that of the latches.
This will allow the data to transfer between the wires, i.e., it completes the circuit.
To remove the closed data transferring path or the locked connection, you should softly push back the Push pull plug’s outer release sleeve that again retracts the latches and removes it from the receptacle groove’s profile, and allow you to disconnect the plug easily and quickly.
The function of bend relief in the Push pull connector is very similar to the collet, i.e., both of them are used to grip the outer cover of the cable.
When you attach the cable with the insulator contacts and then connect the male plug into the panel-mounted receptacle, the cable may face bending at the point where the cable enters into the plug, so there are many chances that the soldering of the cable with the insulator contacts damage.
In order to reduce this problem, bend relief has been designed that has the ability to withstand the bend occurring in the cable at the end of the Push pull connector.

An insulator in the Push pull connectors serves the primary purpose of transferring the data, current, or signals between two devices or instruments used in defense and military, information systems, medical and surgery, machinery, research industry, etc.
The cable directly connects on one side of the insulator with the insulator’s contacts after passing through the bend relief, collet nut, and collet, which is then fitted in the outer shell of the Push pull connector.
The other side of the insulator also consists of contacts that are pushed into the receptacle for closing the Push pull connector’s circuit path.

The Push pull connector locking system totally depends on the latches fitted inside the outer shell of the connector’s plug.
The shape of latches is very similar to a thick arrow that is divided into two parts, i.e., the right part of the arrowhead and the left part of the arrowhead.
The inner sleeve latches of the plug retract when you push the plug into the receptacle.
The latches then move smoothly inside the locking/mating receptacle until it reaches a groove that has a matching profile as that of the latches.
You can never break the connection by pulling the cable or any other component of the connector. The only way to release the connection is to softly push back the Push pull plug’s outer release sleeve that again retracts the latches and removes it from the receptacle groove’s profile.

The collet and collet nut are fitted between the Push pull connector’s insulator and bend relief. After soldering the cable with the insulator’s contacts, the connection is secured with split insert carriers and then go through it with the collet.
The collet is used to pass the cable efficiently through the insulator’s contacts to the outer shell of the Push pull connector. It is also used to align the insulator’s connection with the outer shell of the connector.
After that, the collet nut is tightened on the collet for a secure and tight connection.

The Push pull connectors use a self-latching system for locking and unlocking the connection between its male plug and female receptacle.
Inside the outer shell of the connector, once the latches are stuck into a groove having the same profile as that of the latches, the connection can never break by pulling the cable out or any component of the connector.
The only way to release the connection is to make an axial push on the outer release sleeve backward that unlatches the Push pull connector, and then you can easily remove the male plug from the female receptacle.

The Push pull connectors have a self-latching system to lock and unlock the plug and receptacle.
The term “Mating” means to lock the male plug of the Push pull connector with the female receptacle by using latches.
After mating, the current, signals, or data start transferring.

The term “Mating Cycle” refers to the number of times the Push pull connector’s plug and receptacle can be mated.

- You should remove the outer protection rubber covering of the cable from one end, i.e., you should release the small inner wires of the cable from the outer covering.
- You should pass the cable first from bend relief and then from collet nut and collet in the same order as they are written.
- You must solder the small wires efficiently with the connector’s male plug insulator contacts.
- You should attach the plug’s insulator within the split insert carriers and then connect it with the collet.
- By carefully aligning the plug’s insulator, collet, and collect nut, you should enter them into the outer shell of the connector.
- You should tight the collet nut on the back of the collet.
- Tight the bend relief on the back of the collet nut.
- Untighten the bend relief from the back of the collet nut.
- Untighten the collet nut from the back of the collet.
- You should carefully remove the collet nut, collet, and plug’s insulator from the outer shell of the connector.
